All this talk about relationships that matter...how do you work at that?

We believe that most people in our world crave meaningful relationships where they can be loved, accepted, supported, encouraged, cared for and challenged. To meet that need, we offer a variety of small group experiences where 8 - 12 people gather together regularly in homes to be encouraged, loved, supported, and cared for. These groups meet at various times and days each week.

How is Community of Joy organized?

We seek to have as little organized structure as possible. And we encourage ministry to happen through people who have a passion for a certain area of ministry. The only guidelines for ministry are that a new ministry can’t violate our core values or mission.

Are you connected with a national church group?

Yes, we are part of a family of churches called the Church of the Brethren. For more information on this body of Jesus’ followers go to

Does Community of Joy offer summer camping options?
